Modal Verbs

We have been learning to use modal verbs for persuasive writing.

You must come and visit this unique, glorious island belonging to Kensuke. This beautiful island is framed by pure, silky white sand that you need to come and let your feet sink into as you walk along the lovely beach. If you bring food you ought to keep it near in case the inquisitive and cheeky baby orangutans pay a visit to your food basket. You should come and search for the sneaky, baby gibbons and orangutans, and watch them play in their natural habitat ,instead of being locked up.

You might want to paddle in the cool shimmering ocean and feel the waves lap at your feet. If you’re feeling adventurous , you could come and investigate Kensuke’s gloomy cave. You may want to go into the lush tropical forest and search for the rare mouth watering , juicy and sweet red bananas or climb palm trees and find the tasty coconuts.

You ought to hike up, the watch hill and you shall see the wonders of the island from up high. You can enjoy all of these things at Kensuke’s Magical Island.

If I wrote this again, I would change the colour of the modal verbs to orange and the text to dark blue. By 11TP03

I loved how you used modal verbs because you didn’t just use one different modal verbs. I liked how you used pure silky white sand. You could add a little bit more on describing the last sentence.
