12 September – Setting Description.

We have been learning about writing setting descriptions.

As he peers his way through the temple, the vines scratched at his neck and constricted around his shoulders, not letting go as he tried to break free. Ravens cackled and screeched, making the atmosphere terrifying. Darkness filled the hollow abyss and took over from the light as he walked inside. A chilly breeze shook down his spine as he went further and as he looked behind him, the sound of stagnant water rewound in his head.

Deep inside the temple, fumes of smoke invaded through his nose. The adventurer carefully touched the pebbly wall, as shadows frolicked around. Skulls and dead bodies laid still, while he grit his teeth uncomfortably.

As he walked in he found an open space with a glisteningĀ  structure on a platform. On the floor, pressure plates stood their, disgustingly, but the adventurer found his way around the traps. The golden artefact shimmered waiting for someone to take it. As he reached his handĀ  to the artefact, he grabbed it greedily. The whole location shook like an earthquake, as he ran out heroically.

I really like how you have set your character description out, it is really effective because you have tried your best.

Next time you could try and expand on your vocabulary
