10th October, Recount

We have been learning to write a recount…

February 15th.

Despite the noise of the car, the moment lingered, although to be fair, I was used to it. Although the noise was faint I had a feeling my victim was coming. Standing in front of my last wreckage, the fumes suffocated me as another car approached. I was excited but nervous; this kind of thing makes my day! Despite the apprehensive driver clearly not being fond of the idea of letting me in his car, he still let me in… What a fool!

Anticipation rushed through my body as I checked the time so that I could know when it was time for another’s death. The bright, scorching sun was at its highest point in the sky; my watch said it was time!

Turning my head to face the driver, he stared into my opaque goggles… BANG!

10th October, Recount

We have been leaning to write a recount.

January 15th 2016.

Where would we be without days like this? As I stood hunched over another car wreckage, I suddenly heard the spluttering of a car engine. My next victim was coming…

Anticipation filled my body as the car came snaking around the tight edge. It was as hot as it could be. Despite the driver obviously being terrified of me he still let me in – what a fool. He hadn’t a clue what I had planned. The bright, scorching sun gleamed at my watch telling me it was the right time. The driver stared into my opaque goggles. Again the car goes tumbling…

The next car is coming, my moment is coming once again. Killing is all I care about!

10th October, Recount

We’ve have been learning to write a recount.

August 10th, 2014

Now, whatever you may have heard, whatever you may have seen, I can tell you truthfully that I didn’t do it. I was just standing in the roasting, dusty desert next to the wreckage of my most recent victim. As a scorpion ran along, a man drove by in his car. I stuck my thumb out and he stopped. He kept asking questions about taking me to the next station. I agreed, then I got in the car not answering any more. Why wouldn’t he stop? As he drove along the narrow, bumpy path I looked at my no-handed watch – it was time to get rid of him. My opaque goggles showed me a vision of his car tumbling off a cliff, it inevitably would happen. It always does. He will be another innocent victim whom I never feel sorry for…

10th October. Recount

We have been learning to write a recount.

January 7th

As I was driving across the sandy road in my car, I saw a figure beside a destroyed car, standing on the desert floor with his thumbs up. Waiting for somebody to pick him up and drive him to the city. He looked rather mysterious with his red scarf and reflective goggles. Some thoughts ran across my mind: Shall I let him in? Is he ok? He looks quite emotionless; he needs my help. VROOM ,VROOM went my car as it drove to the unknown man. I asked if he was alright. No answer. I told him I could take him to the next station, so he jumped in. I asked him questions. He wouldn’t answer. I decided that having this man in my car was a big mistake. Suspicion went through my mind as he looked at his watch. This was getting out of hand. For a moment I looked into his goggles, and in them was a reflection of my car crashing down. I gasped as my car swerved off the road and almost automatically was sent tumbling down the cliff. If only I had thought about it. It’s too late now.

12th September: Setting Descriptions

We have been learning to write a setting descriptions.

In the distance, he could hear the crashing water cascading. Trembling through the soggy mud, with haunted, eerie sounds masking the humid air. Mossy and damp walls surround the approach ahead; the ebony temple entrance. Forbidden green vines enclosed the gloomy entrance. Taking a deep breath, he took a step into the filthy, damp temple.

Scrunching his eyes as he got used to the dim darkness, he strode through the cobwebs, which were disguised in the pitch black cave, and clung to his clothes. Wiping the cobwebs, he came across a 3 way route. Left? Right? Or go back? As he turned right, his eyes focused on the glistening, golden, gleaming idol. The chamber was so calm. That was what scared him the most…

13th October, Poem

We have been learning to write an autumnal poem

Image result for autumn leaves

October 13th 2016

With icy air numbing my feet, with every breath I take a thick cloud of mist covers the air;   slowly it vanishes.
Within the sky, tiny, bright, suffocated beams of light struggle their way through the translucent leaves,
Grieving, the trees crave for their long-lost siblings.
In the depth of the maze-like forest damp moss layered the brown dirt.
The fiery trees carve a path snaking its way to no where
Every orange leaf makes a movement like it has its own soul

Autumn once again is here

PE – Rounders

Physical Education
Week Beginning: 12th September, 2016
LO: To learn the technique for an overarm throw.

This week in Physical Education (P.E.), our class moved on to the second unit of our Rounders topic. Our objective was to learn the correct technique for an overarm throw, which is essential when competing in a Rounders match, and perfect our technique. Firstly, we recapped our understanding of the underarm throw, before moving on to a demonstration of how to throw a tennis ball overarm. At first, we were not very accurate and our throws often did not reach our intended target, although with a few helpful tips from our teacher (Miss Downey) we were able to improve. Before the end of the lesson, we competed in a tournament, which was based on the game Benchball, where we had to use the method we had learnt during the lesson to throw the ball to our teammate on the bench to score a point. Due to the fact that they worked well as a team, Green squad won the most matches and were the victors.
