10th October: Recount

We have been learning to write a recount

October 1st

Today we went to sunny Spain to have a lovely meal. Dad had some barbequed meat with chips, mum was boring and had a plain salad with vegetables. I had a ham and cheese sandwich which was very nice. Sadly, no dogs were allowed so Stella had to wait but we gave her our leftover except from Mum’s lettuce of course she took it with her.

Also, we went to the beach. All of us splashed in the water except from mum who wore her disgusting, cringed fruit hat whilse she sunbathed. Then, Stella went missing. We got very worried but she was just stealing our sandwiches next to us; I tried to apologised but the did not understand. I went to tell her of but Stella, my hungry cheeky border-collie who was catching their rolls, ignored me and then licked her lips. Then, I had enough we told her off and left Spain to carry on with our journey.

When I was writing in my log, mum interrupted me because Eddie wanted to talk to me. We were on the phone for about a hour or a little less. He said he would do anything to see me again. I said I would straight away when I got back. Whilst I was talking to him I saw a cool animal, I described it to him and he would have to guess. Halfway through playing, I had to go because Dad fell of the Peggy sue. I tried not to laugh but I had to; he found that very offensive

Something very nightmarish happened today. I was peacefully steering the old Peggy sue where all of a sudden a humongous wave and storm approached us slowly from the east. Dad took over calling “MAYDAY” but no one heard! The threatening storm rocked us side-to-side almost tipping us. Mum, who was a very heavy sleeper, was sick as she woke up. She opened the door wondering what it was as she awoke she witness a nightmare! Every time the lightning flashed, my fear grew bigger. Saying a silent prayer I hoped the storm would subside.
