PGL year 6

We have been learning to write a recount.

October 1 2016

Today we were all woke up by Mr Greenfield at 6:50, a shocking 10 minutes before Miss Downey had promised to wake us up. How dare he! Eventually we managed to drag a grumpy Lucy out of bed so that we could go to archery. Whilst we were on the way to archery, the most annoying instructor told every one to call me “lost property”. Finally we reached archery and I didn’t hit any of the arrows in the bull’s-eye. That was fun! After that we had dinner, it was yummy! We had Emily and Joe with us doing ambush and capture the flag in one activity; I was on Joe’s team, but I was quite scared so I got moved on to Emily’s team. I didn’t have the time of my life, however I suppose it was okay.

October 2nd  2016

Today I was woken up by Kerry Ann doing her best impression of Mr Greenfield waking us up. Later that morning we looked at the trapeze. I didn’t want to go on the trapeze, because it was too high and looked quite scary. We then had lunch, it was so yummy! After that we did raft building. I was quite scared that I was going to fall in. Despite being scared, I still had a fun time – well a little bit. Soon after that we had dinner, that was great too. After dinner was over we went to the trapeze. The trapeze platform wobbled as if it was a freshly made jelly. I watched all of team two have their go. After waiting for team two to finish it was my choice whether I went on or not, I wasn’t too sure, so I said no. Later we had a camp fire, so we had to collect dry wood for kindling. Our group leader Joe took us for a walk while collecting wood . As we were coming back from collecting wood, my food got stuck down a hole. I managed to get it out. Then we had the camp fire , we told funny and scary stories. The scorching, dancing campfire made me tired. Finally we went to our room and to bed.

I really like your vocabulary: shocking, grumpy.

    Nice job with your punctuation.
