10th October. Recount

We have been learning to write a recount.

January 7th

As I was driving across the sandy road in my car, I saw a figure beside a destroyed car, standing on the desert floor with his thumbs up. Waiting for somebody to pick him up and drive him to the city. He looked rather mysterious with his red scarf and reflective goggles. Some thoughts ran across my mind: Shall I let him in? Is he ok? He looks quite emotionless; he needs my help. VROOM ,VROOM went my car as it drove to the unknown man. I asked if he was alright. No answer. I told him I could take him to the next station, so he jumped in. I asked him questions. He wouldn’t answer. I decided that having this man in my car was a big mistake. Suspicion went through my mind as he looked at his watch. This was getting out of hand. For a moment I looked into his goggles, and in them was a reflection of my car crashing down. I gasped as my car swerved off the road and almost automatically was sent tumbling down the cliff. If only I had thought about it. It’s too late now.
